FHA Rated “High Performer” for Section 8 Program Management

The Freeport Housing Authority was awarded the rating of “High Performer” under SEMAP (Section 8 Management Assessment Program) by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This program rates the housing authority and its Section 8 staff on how well they adhere to the Federal Section 8 guidelines, rules and regulations. For HUD’s Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2018, FHA’s Section 8 program had a perfect score – 135 points out of 135 points, earning the title of High Performer, the highest rank in the program.
